Editorial Policy
A to Z Alcohol answers everyday questions about alcohol: how strong drinks are, how much is a standard drink, which stores sell alcohol, what the law and official health bodies say, and how rubbing alcohol is used at home.
Our rules
- Every number cites an official source (for example NIAAA, CDC, NHS, USDA, FDA, government law pages) or the producer’s own page, with the date we checked it.
- We do not give medical, legal or driving advice, and we do not publish blood-alcohol or “can I drive” calculators.
- We do not guess about real people’s health.
- We do not publish guides on how to cheat alcohol tests or break rules.
- Articles are written and reviewed by the A to Z Alcohol Editorial Team. We do not claim expert review unless an expert has reviewed the article.
